Deputy Director Environment and Social Conducts Detailed Site Visit
On 15 April 2026, the Deputy Director for Environment and Social Safeguards carried out a comprehensive field visit to various road sections under Package 8, Lot 2. The visit was aimed at assessing compliance with approved environmental and social safeguard frameworks and ensuring that all relevant standards are being effectively upheld.
During the visit, the Deputy Director reviewed key environmental and social parameters, including waste management practices, dust and noise control measures, occupational health and safety arrangements, and the implementation of mitigation measures. Relevant documentation and on-site practices were examined to evaluate adherence to established guidelines.
The Deputy Director also held interactive sessions with consultants, contractor staff, and members of the local community. These engagements provided valuable insights into on-ground conditions, helped identify concerns, and ensured that community feedback was being acknowledged and addressed in a timely and transparent manner.
Community members and stakeholders were further instructed to utilize the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) portal for lodging any complaints, concerns, or suggestions, ensuring a structured and efficient resolution process.
