KP-RAP E&S Progress Review Meeting Held
A Progress Review Meeting of the Environmental & Social (E&S) Component under KP-RAP was convened on 12th February 2026. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU), along with consultant environmental and social safeguard specialists and associates, to review the current status of compliance and implementation progress.
During the session, the Deputy Director (E&S) presented a comprehensive overview of ongoing activities, including environmental mitigation measures, community engagement initiatives, grievance redressal mechanisms, and health and safety practices at various project sites. The review highlighted satisfactory progress in key areas, while also outlining specific action points aimed at strengthening monitoring mechanisms and ensuring timely reporting.
The meeting underscored the importance of strict compliance with Environmental Management Plans (EMPs), minimizing construction-related environmental and social impacts, and sustaining proactive communication with affected communities to ensure transparent and responsible project execution.
